The Gambia’s environment and natural resources basis are sustainably managed and protected as contribution to social and economic wellbeing of its people and reduces the impacts of climate change.
- To promote long-term environmental sustainability through collaborative planning, public awareness campaigns and capacity building of stakeholders.
- To mainstream climate change into the economic development process and promote food security for the Gambia by provision of timely and accurate climate information.
- To promote biodiversity conservation by increasing terrestrial, inland water, coastal and marine protected areas and strengthen management effectiveness of existing and planned PAs.
